This armature was used in Lionel’s F3 Series of Engines. The following figure shows you 3 different views of the armature itself and the motors in which it was used.

Product Description

Originally, these were tough, powerful motors and were used in both single- and dual-motor engine configurations. Years of neglect, however, have considerably shortened their lives and reduced their performance. Take one of these motors apart today, and you’ll find dished out commutators, worn out bushings and brushes that should have been replaced 20 years ago, and windings that have run so hot they are annealed together. Here’s your chance to give new life to that favorite F3 you thought could never be repaired.

Applications: This armature was used in the 2333M-1 and 2343-100 Motors. Engines with which you may be familiar are the New York Central, Western Pacific, Southern, and Santa FE F3s. Engine numbers include: 2333, 2343, 2344, 2345, 2353, 2354, 2355, and 2356
